Simi Valley is nestled beautifully between Los Angeles and Ventura, virtually surrounded by miles and miles of the some of the best trail-riding in the world.  There is a trail for every skill rider, from beginning to advanced, and road to gravity.  And don’t just limit yourself to daytime rides, as night rides with friends are just as rewarding, maybe even better.! The views from these hills are breathtaking, and in some places, you can see the ocean.   Dirt’s not your thing?  Hop on one of our fitness or road bikes, and take the bike path from one end of town to the other along the Arroyo.

TRAIL TRAFFIC   please be aware that we aren’t the only ones enjoying the trails.  When approaching a horse, please stop then proceed when waved through.  A spooked horse is a dangerous animal.  Slow to a crawl when approaching hikers, as many of them wear headphones (never a good idea), and can’t hear you coming no matter how much chain-slap you may have.
KEEP HYDRATED   Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.  Second in importance to wearing a helmet, it keeps your blood lubricated, organs are more efficient and regulates your body temperature in our summer heat.  Don’t let dehydration sneak up on you!
DANGEROUS ANIMALS AND PLANTS   Of all the animals out here, undoubtedly the most dangerous and sneaky is the rattle snake.  You see the ones laying across your path, but there are many more that you don’t see, so stop and hydrate/rest with caution.   Coyotes, and large cats can also be seen as well, but typically have no interest in you.  Let them be, and they will do the same. Poison Oak and Ivyare also prevalent in these parts of So. Cal.  Get familiar with what they look like and keep clear.   Three phrases to remember: -Leaves of three, leave them be. -Longer middle stem, don’t touch them. -Hairy vine, no friend of mine. Don’t need to say much about the cactus patches.  Almost every trail out here has ‘em.
TRAIL TRASH.   This one is a no brainer.  Pack out what you pack in. There’s nothing more frustrating than seeing trash littering our beautiful trails.                             DON’T BE A LITTER BUG
